Reds 6, Cubs 3: Justin Steele just didn’t have it

The trade deadline came and passed Tuesday and the Cubs didn’t do much.

You can read about that elsewhere, but after trading was done for the year the Cubs took the field against the Reds and lost 6-3.

I guess I could finish there, but you come here for a game recap and yes indeedy, you will get one.

This game was over early. TJ Friedl singled in two runs off Justin Steele in the first inning. That’s not awful, but the second inning was worse. After a leadoff walk, Santiago Espinal homered to make it 4-0.
