Dire weather forecasts of all-day rain made it seem very unlikely, early this morning, that this game would be played. But the rain fell mostly south of the city — it just sprinkled a couple of times at the ol’ ballyard — and so the Cubs and Rangers were able to complete their three-game series.
The Cubs might wish it had indeed rained, because the game wound up in a 6-2 loss.
