Going into Wednesday’s ring ceremony at Wrigley Field, the only clue we had about the World Series rings was that they featured 108 diamonds on the face. But that symbolism was only the tip of the iceberg: exactly 1,908 rings and pins were distributed to people in the Cubs organization, from players and coaches, to ballpark staff and partners.
The rain contains a total of 214 diamonds at 5.5 karats.
The sides of the ring feature nods to Wrigley Field, from the famous marquee, to the ivy, to the W flag, in addition to the players’ names.
