MIAMI -- After a couple of late-night extra-inning encounters, the Marlins and Cubs were to able settle things in nine innings. And it was Miami, behind Brian Anderson's three-run double and Dillon Peters' six shutout innings, that claimed the series finale, 6-0, on Sunday at Marlins Park.
The two teams split the four-game set. Peters, Drew Steckenrider, Tayron Guerrero and Kyle Barraclough combined on the shutout.
Jose Quintana held the Marlins without a hit through four innings, but Miami broke through and scored five times in the fifth inning.
