The Chicago Cubs defeated their crosstown rivals Friday afternoon, and it seemed one of the items of conversation involved this celebration by Pedro Strop:
I think former Cubs legend John Baker said it best in his blog, but usually complaints about Pedro Strop (when not directed by misinformation about his “ineptitude” as a high-leverage reliever) involve his tilted cap or some otherwise innocuous mannerisms. In this case, we’re talking about a situation where the Cubs were only up one run on the White Sox with the go-ahead and tying runs on base against a series of tough hitters.
