Hold on to your trousers, Cubs fans, because Marquee Sports Network announced Wednesday that the legendary Pat Hughes will be joining the television broadcast booth this spring. Along with Hughes, Chris Myers, and Beth Mowins will serve as play-by-play broadcasters for select games this season, filling in for Jon “Boog” Sciambi.
Sciambi, who was hired to replace Len Kasper, will serve as the play-by-play announcer for the vast majority of games working with color man Jim Deshaies. Excluding national broadcasts, Marquee will air every regular season game, including the opener on April 1 vs. Pittsburgh, and all spring training home games at Sloan Park, beginning March 2 vs.
