Pat Hughes, the Voice of the Chicago Cubs, was recognized once again for the tremendous job he does calling Cubs’ games on the radio. Pat Hughes has been named the 2015 Illinois Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
Hughes has provided the soundtrack to Cubs’ baseball on the radio side since 1996. Hughes has called several of the most memorable games in franchise history.
“I’d like to dedicate this award to the Cubs dramatic 2015 season, and to my tremendous broadcasting partner Ron Coomer,” said Hughes said in a statement.
