The Cubs got yet another excellent start from a rotation that’s looking like one of the better such groups in the entire league. And then Cubs relievers couldn’t... well, there wasn’t a lead to hold, but five straight hits took care of a scoreless tie and a disastrous six-run Padres sixth resulted in a 6-3 Cubs defeat.
