There’s a lot on your mind: not messing up against one of the NL West’s hottest teams in the Padres, proving you have the chops to be a starter, and most importantly just winning the game.
For Tyler Gilbert, he managed all three and something a little extra special as well: he pitched a no-hitter in his first game as a starter. After the initial rush of no-hitters to begin the season, we hadn’t seen one in quite some time.
