As we approach the All-Star break, players are getting added, bowing out, getting injured, and it’s creating plenty of opportunities for new players to get their first shot at the All-Star Game.
Tyler Glasnow, for example, finally got an All-Star nod, only to be placed on the IL before he could attend. Logan Gilbert found out he was the sole Mariners All-Star during a team meeting, then shared a sweet call to tell his family. Young players like Paul Skenes and Riley Greene will be making their first appearances.
It’s going to be a lot of All-Star chatter this week as we head into the final week of the first half.
