We’re less than a week into the 2025 season, but we have already gotten our first suspension for PED use. Atlanta Braves’ Jurickson Profar has been suspended for 80 games for testing positive for PEDs. Specifically, Profar was snagged for using human chorionic gonadotropin, which is a fertility drug, and he claims to not have used PEDs intentionally, but did accept his suspension without appeal.
His statement was released on Monday shortly after the announcement of his suspension was made public.

The Braves, already off to a rough start this season, will now have one fewer established player for the first half of the year.
