- Cardinals catcher Willson Contreras had his forearm broken last night on a swing by the Mets’ J.D. Martinez. Martinez was awarded first base for catcher’s interference and Contreras is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks.
- Might as well stay in the NL Central. Brewers shortstop Willy Adames jokingly called his shot before hitting a three-run home run in the top of the ninth in Kansas City last night.
