The Cubs swept the Nationals a few weeks ago in Washington and outscored them 26-10.
Unfortunately, since then the Cubs are just 6-9, and 3-6 at Wrigley Field.
Here’s hoping this series ends better than the last three home sets.
For more on the Nats, here’s Patrick Reddington, who runs our SB Nation Nationals site Federal Baseball.
Washington’s Nationals arrive in Chicago coming off three straight losses in New York’s Citi Field (in which they scored just two runs). With the losses, the Nats finished 2-11 against the Mets this season, so seeing any other team at this point is preferable (though they’re also 0-3 against the Cubs so far, and 32-45 on the road now in 2024).
