Javier Baez the magician strikes again.
On a steal of home in the fourth inning Wednesday, Baez avoided Tigers catcher James McCann's tag to get his right hand on the plate.
The Cubs second baseman took off for home after left-hander Francisco Liriano threw a pickoff throw to first, but John Hicks' throw to McCann was in time -- just not quick enough to tag out Baez.
