The Committee on Zoning, Landmarks, and Building Standards unanimously passed an ordinance last Tuesday that allowed the Cubs to move forward with the addition of two huge signs on the rooftops across the street from Wrigley Field. The signs are going up at 1040 W. Waveland and 3623 N. Sheffield, two of the 13 properties in the area owned by the Ricketts family.
A Coca-Cola sign is going up at the former and a Benjamin Moore ad will be at the latter. Here are some looks at the progress, the full extent of which will be more than obvious when the Cubs return home to face the Marlins on Thursday.
