Seven homers in seven games. Scoring three times in one game.
The dog days of August are no match for the Blue Jays' Kendrys Morales, who slugged his way into Toronto's record books and earned his fifth career Player of the Week presented by W.B. Mason honor for the American League. The Cubs' Anthony Rizzo received the National League nod.
Morales sent a two-run homer 402 feet into the right-field seats on Sunday, marking the 35-year-old's seventh straight game with a home run and breaking a Blue Jays franchise record set by Jose Cruz in 2001.
