I guess you could say it was a pretty productive week for the Cubs. Since the last riveting Cub O’ Coffee, the Cubs haven’t lost a game. The team was playing well after the All-Star break, but really caught fire after the inspiring Brian Matusz start. The full World Series share that Matusz will no doubt get for allowing three two-run homers in just three innings pitched, should serve as sweet consolation for being designated for assignment the day after his Cubs debut.
The Cubs face an enviable problem right now. As players like Jorge Soler and Trevor Cahill, and yes, even Chris Coghlan, return from injury, the Cubs have to find a way to find room for all of their good players.
