Cubs closer Brandon Morrow will remain sidelined from throwing for at least a few more weeks, according to team president Theo Epstein.
Tuesday, Epstein told reporters that Morrow received an injection into his right elbow that will keep him from throwing for two weeks.
Morrow had injection of synthetic lubricant in balky elbow Monday. Shut down for two weeks before he’ll be allowed to resume throwing program. Pushes best-case-scenario return near All-Star break.
