MLB Moves Cubs Opening Day to April 2

Cubs to open 2017 Season in primetime against Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Sunday, April 2

The Cubs and Major League Baseball officially announced Thursday that Opening Day for the World Series Champions has been moved to April 2. The Cubs and Cardinals will kick off the 2017 season under the lights at Busch Stadium as the third game of MLB’s Opening Day.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:30pm CDT and will be televised exclusively to a national audience by ESPN.

The Cubs and Cardinals were scheduled to begin the season on Monday, April 3.
