MLB and Nike supplied teams with uniforms for 2024 that were nearly universally reviled by players and fans alike.
After the outcry, MLB sat down with players and heard their complaints, and recently announced changes would be made, though we likely won’t see these until next year.
The purported reason for the major jersey changes this year were announced by Nike this way in a press release in February:
