NEW YORK -- After hesitation by the Mets, right-hander Noah Syndergaard will start Sunday's Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the Chicago Cubs.
A day earlier, manager Terry Collins thought Syndergaard might need extra time and instead start Game 4 because of Thursday's relief appearance in the National League Division Series.
"He just came in and said he felt great," Collins said Saturday afternoon. "He said there was absolutely no stiffness. He's got no soreness anywhere. And he wants to pitch. So we're going to run him out there.
