Medina added to Cubs' bullpen; Rosscup to DL

Medina will be available for Wednesday night's game against the Indians at Progressive Field. Chicago acquired the 26-year-old from Seattle for catcher Welington Castillo on May 19 and sent him to Iowa, where he made 10 relief appearances. In 11 2/3 innings, Medina allowed six earned runs on 15 hits with seven walks and 12 strikeouts.

The Venezuela native appeared in 141 games for the Mariners from 2013-15, posting a 2.82 ERA while notching 9.2 strikeouts and 4.9 walks per nine innings.

Rosscup last pitched on Tuesday, giving up a run in one-third of an inning against the Indians.
