CHICAGO -- In a season where half of their games have come down to the wire, even the last week has been stressful for the Cubs and manager Joe Maddon.
In its last seven games, five of Chicago's outings have been decided by one run, where it is 1-4 in that span. Now, after Monday's game against the Nationals, 22 of the Cubs games this season have been decided by one run. They are 12-10 in those one-run games this year.
Last year, Chicago played just 40 one-run games the entire season.
