With the Winter Meetings officially ending this past week, and the flurry of moves made by the Cubs settling in, the initial euphoria can settle into a grounded, excited state. Looking ahead to the 2016 season, the Cubs have achieved most goals set at the outset of the off-season, with one or two more to go. Though, as has been the case during the 2014 off-season and now in this 2015 mode, Theo and Jed are unafraid and unabashedly ready to pull the metaphorical trigger if the case is right. But, perhaps more importantly, they have shown they are unafraid and unabashedly ready to not do so if the case does not perfectly fit the current given situation.
