CHICAGO -- Baserunners like to test Cubs pitcher Jon Lester, but the Cardinals' Tommy Pham found out the lefty is quick to first base.
With two outs in the Cardinals' fifth, and St. Louis holding a 2-1 lead, Lester walked Pham. The Cardinals outfielder then extended his lead at first base, testing the pitcher, who has been widely known to struggle with his pickoff attempts. Lester fired to first baseman Anthony Rizzo, who easily tagged Pham out.
