Late Rally Helps Emeralds Sparkle at Riverview

Frandy de la Rosa belted a two-run triple, walked, reached base on an HBP, and scored a run, Eloy Jimenez (two singles and two walks) reached base four times, scored a run, and drove-in another, and Kevonte Mitchell smashed a lead-off solo HR to key a four-run 8th, as the Eugene Emeralds rallied to defeat the Mesa Cubs 5-3 in Extended Spring Training intrasquad action this morning on Field #1 at Mesa CubTown at Riverview Park.

Yohan Matos slugged a solo HR and singled twice for the Mesa Cubs in a losing cause, and starting pitchers Justin Steele and Oscar de la Cruz combined to hurl six innings of shutout ball for the two squads.
