ST.LOUIS -- Chicago Cubs injured outfielder/catcher Kyle Schwarber is recuperating from knee surgery in Dallas but still keeping an eye on his team as they play a road matinee in St. Louis on Wednesday.

Schwarber had surgery Tuesday morning by Dallas Cowboys team physician Dr. Daniel Cooper to repair a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. He’s hopeful to be playing again next spring and will start rehab in Chicago as soon as he gets back.
