Justin Steele’s ERA dropped from 4.06 to 3.65 without him throwing a pitch

In the bottom of the fourth inning last Friday in Cincinnati, the Reds were batting with two out and Elly De La Cruz on second base. The game was scoreless.

Steele had Spencer Steer struck out, which would have ended the inning. But the ball got past Miguel Amaya and Steer reached base. It was originally ruled a wild pitch. That’s now been changed:
