Jon Lester named The Babe Ruth Award winner by the New York Chapter of the BBWAA
Jon Lester led the Cubs’ outstanding rotation throughout the season and into the playoffs. Lester was the co-MVP of the NLCS as the Cubs won the franchise’s first NL Pennant in 71 years. Lester made three appearances in The World Series and was pivotal in the Game 7 win in Cleveland.
Lester was recognized by the New York chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) as the Most Valuable Player of the postseason with The Babe Ruth Award.
