Joe Maddon’s bid for a second straight NL Manager of the Year Award came up short. Joe Maddon finished 38 points behind the Dodgers’ Dave Roberts in the voting by the BBWAA for the top skipper award. Maddon received eight first place votes, eight second place and six third place votes for a total of 70 points.
