SAN DIEGO -- Javier Baez did it again.
With one out in the 10th inning, Baez stole second, then took advantage of two errors by the Padres to score the go-ahead run and lift the Cubs to a 5-4 victory over the Padres on Friday night at Petco Park.
Anthony Rizzo had tied the game with an RBI double with two outs in the ninth for the Cubs, who were playing their third extra-inning game in the last four. In the 10th, Baez reached on an infield single and appeared to be limping.
