Jason Heyward Leaves After Crashing Into Base of Wall, Under Evaluation for Injury to Right Torso

Jason Heyward was forced to leave Friday’s game in the first inning after making an incredible catch in right center to take extra bases away from Denard Span. Heyward hit the base of the wall and stayed on the warning track while his teammates, Joe Maddon and training staff went to his aid.

Heyward was helped up and off the field. Heyward walked off on his own power favoring his right side.
