Jason Hammel left Monday’s game before start of third inning with cramping in right hamstring
Jason Hammel was forced to leave Monday’s game before the third inning with what the Cubs said is cramping in the right hamstring. Hammel was warming up for the third inning, experienced discomfort and received treatment from trainer P.J. Mainville while sitting on the ground behind the mound.
Hammel made several warmup tosses and appeared to want to stay in the game. Hammel walked off the field without a limp or favoring his right leg.
