Jake Arrieta Reportedly Agrees to Terms on Three-Year Contract with Phillies

Former Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta headed to Philly on a three-year contract

According to multiple reports, Jake Arrieta has finally landed a multi-year deal. Arrieta and the Phillies have agreed to terms on a three-year, $75 million contract, pending a physical. Arrieta will be reunited with a lot of the same front office that drafted him while they were calling the shots in Baltimore.

Arrieta signed with the Phillies for reportedly less than the Cubs were willing to extend his contract for over two years ago. Multiple reports at the time had the Cubs offering Arrieta at least a three-year deal in the $80 million range.
