As sure as the Wrigley Field ivy will turn orange and red come fall, Jason McLeod will see his name bandied about for general manager jobs all around baseball.
With the Minnesota Twins recently firing general manager Terry Ryan, McLeod’s name has on once again popped up in the front office rumor mill. On Monday, Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer confirmed that the Twins had requested an interview with McLeod.
“I expect that Jason might talk to Minnesota as has been speculated,” Hoyer said. “I don’t have any timing on that or anything, but I’m expecting that’s going to happen.
