Some low-scoring games are tense affairs with give and take and lots of action. This was not one of of those games.
The Iowa Cubs were silenced by the St. Paul Saints (Twins), 3-1.
The Cubs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning after right fielder Brennen Davis doubled with one out, went to third on a fly out and scored on a two-out single by DH Abiatal Avelino.
But the I-Cubs lead was short-lived as starter Joe Biagini gave up a three-run home run to Jose Miranda in the bottom of the inning.
