Sunday night started off slowly for the Chicago Cubs, but they made it interesting at the end. The Seattle Mariners led 6-0 in the third inning and seemed ready to cruise. Then the bottom of the ninth happened, and it opened the door for the Cubs to snap a 61-game losing streak when trailing by 6 at some point in the game. It was their first win in that situation since Aug. 30, 2012.
Brian Matusz made his first major league start since July 1, 2012 (made 211 relief appearances since) in what was his first game with a team other than the Orioles.
