Schedule strength should be a familiar concept for most fans, but it's something you're more accustomed to hearing about in other sports -- say, football. Even though most people have a general understanding that the baseball schedule isn't balanced, I don't think too many are worried about that. It's easy to say, well, the schedule is 162 games long, and over that kind of season, differences ought to balance out. That's a compelling argument. It's also an easy one to turn around: Over 162 games, little differences in the schedules can just as easily add up.
