Heyward cuts down run on close play at plate

The runner at second base, Gonzalez, made it home for a headfirst slide in 7.32 seconds, according to Statcast™, his second-fasted time from second to home this season. But he was called out by plate umpire Angel Hernandez after an 89.9 mph throw from Heyward. Heyward had an assist earlier this year tracked at 98.9 mph, so it was far from his best throw this season.

Gonzalez immediately raised his arms and signaled to the Dodgers dugout that the call should be challenged.
