Heyman: Cubs 'more likely' than Dodgers to look at Bryce Harper

After a quiet start to the winter, are the Cubs be finally getting in the mix to contend for Bryce Harper's services?

On the MLB Network, reporter Jon Heyman said the chances the Cubs' taking a serious look at Harper is increasing, at least publicly

Heyman added that “going in... [the Cubs] were a real longshot, [they] re-signed [Cole] Hamels and seemed to want to be under that luxury tax.”

The Cubs weren't expected to be big spenders because of how high their payroll is for 2019, $209 million -- and that's before signing players.
