Last year’s Happy New Year post was filled with stats from the decade just ended and optimism for the Cubs in 2020 and beyond.
This year? I’m just going to say I’m glad we all made it through 2020, probably the worst year for humankind that any of us has seen in our lifetimes. As always, this annual post goes up at 12 midnight Central time, to celebrate the New Year as it happens in Chicago.
Neither baseball nor anything else was “normal” in 2020, and I am certain all of us are glad to see it in the rear-view mirror.
