Happ hits 14,000th homer in Cubs history

CINCINNATI -- In the top half of the fourth inning in Game 2 of Saturday's split doubleheader, Cubs left fielder Ian Happ drove a first-pitch fastball from Reds starter Sal Romano into the right-field bleachers.

The solo shot was Happ's seventh of the season and the 14,000th home run in Cubs history.

Happ recorded homer No. 6 -- also a solo shot -- in Game 1 of the twin bill. Sitting on a full count in his fourth plate appearance, Happ drilled a pitch from reliever Raisel Iglesias into the stands in left-center.
