Once upon a time, Jeff Samardzija said that the Chicago Cubs’ offense was all feast or famine. Well, for the most part this weekend, they feasted. They feasted so much that Jonathan Herrera got to make a curtain call even though nobody asked for one:
That was the capper on the Cubs’ scoring for the day, but on Derrek Lee‘s birthday, he got to watch a few more fireworks. There was, of course, the tape-measure blast that Kris Bryant hit off the scoreboard (they’ll bill him later):
