After taking a couple games off, the Dr. Jekyl Cubs showed up in Milwaukee tonight, but they had to fight off a little Mr. Hyde in the early going. In the bottom of the first Jon Lester retired the first two batters he faced before walking Ryan Braun. Then in a Little League-esque play, while Lester was kicking at the dirt around the pitching rubber, Braun took off running and stole second without a throw. (To be fair neither Russell or Baez covered second, so Jon wasn’t the only one caught napping.) But then, when Braun took off for third before the next pitch and looked like he was really going to embarrass Lester, Jon bounced a throw to Kris Bryant who tagged Braun out as he slid into third.
