Game 49 Notes – Laying the Hammel on the Fish

I came into the series thinking we could win it and possibly even sweep it if we did three things…1) Keep Dee Gordon off base, 2) Keep Giancarlo Stanton in check, and 3) begin to hit the baseball a little better. I felt like the pitching has been there enough to get the job done, so if those things would come around then this team would be successful. We did that to perfection last night and it resulted in a win.

Gordon had a tough night at the plate, going 0-for-4, which meant he was not ever able to show his speed.
