It has taken a while, but the Cubs have finally gotten 3 games over .500. A 3-2 victory over our little brother up north with just enough offense and great pitching (for the most part) gives the Cubs a 2-game winning streak and will surely add some confidence to a squad looking to get hot.
After falling behind in the 1st inning, an Almora double, a Baez single to bring him home before stealing second, and a Rizzo RBI single gave the Cubs a quick 2-1 lead.
While Yu Darvish will be disappointed not to get the win, he had his best start of the year, far and away (aside from stumbling on the basepaths).
