Cubs select contract of right-handed pitcher Joel Peralta from Triple-A Iowa, Option left-handed pitcher Gerardo Concepcion to Triple-A Iowa
The Cubs announced two roster moves Monday. The Cubs selected the contract of RHP Joel Peralta from Triple-A Iowa. Peralta was added to the 40-man roster and called up to the big leagues. Peralta is with the Cubs in Cincinnati and will be available out of the bullpen for the opener of the three-game series.
Joel Peralta will wear No. 62.
To make room on the active roster for RHP Joel Peralta, the Cubs optioned LHP Gerardo Concepcion to Triple-A Iowa.
