The Cubs announced two roster moves Wednesday. LHP Edgar Olmos was claimed off waivers from the Orioles. To make room on the 40-man roster, INF Brendan Ryan was released.
The Cubs 40-man roster officially stands at 40-players.
LHP Edgar Olmos makes a return to the Cubs after he was claimed off waivers for the second time in three weeks. The Cubs picked up Olmos from the Mariners on Dec. 4 and he was claimed by the Orioles six days later on Dec. 10. The Orioles placed Olmos on waivers to make room for LF Hyun-Soo Kim.
