It’s official, Cubs activate INF/OF Javier Baez from 15-day DL and optioned INF Munenori Kawasaki to Triple-A Iowa
The Cubs activated infielder/outfielder Javier Baez off of the 15-day disabled list on Friday. Infielder Munenori Kawasaki was optioned to Triple-A Iowa following Thursday night’s game.
The Cubs active roster stands at 25 players, the 40-man roster includes 39 players.
Javier Baez is available for the Cubs this afternoon as the team begins a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field.
The 23-year-old Baez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left thumb contusion on Opening Day (retroactive to March 25) and batted .
