Cubs activate RHP Eddie Butler from the 60-day disabled list … RHP Luke Farrell optioned to Iowa
The Cubs activated right-handed pitcher Eddie Butler off of the 60-day disabled list prior to Tuesday’s game against the Diamondbacks. Right-handed pitcher Luke Farrell has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa.
Eddie Butler will be available for Joe Maddon out of the pen as the Cubs continue its four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field.
With Butler back from the DL, the Cubs 40-man roster stands at 40 players.
